Soap Saves Lives
In early April 2021, Lifebridge received a donation of 250 hygiene kits from the partnership between Clean the World and Lenovo. Clean the World’s Soap Saves Lives Box initiative allows companies’ employees the opportunity to participate in at-home volunteering to benefit local charities. This year, Lenovo chose Lifebridge North Shore to benefit the homeless and underserved.
With the ongoing pandemic, Lifebridge has seen an increase in needs as there are individuals coming to Lifebridge now who have never been homeless and have no knowledge on how to navigate resources. These hygiene kits include everyday items that are accessible for most, however, for those who are homeless, these items are vital essentials that may be difficult to access. Lifebridge provides shelter, basic supplies, meals, medical needs, clothing, showers, and personal care products. If we can secure the fundamentals for our clients, we can comprehensively support them on their journey to stability and independence.
Clean the World and Lenovo’s partnership has not only had a remarkable impact on Lifebridge, but also communities around the world. Lenovo employees volunteered in commemoration of the Lenovo Foundation’s Global Month of Service, which empowers employees to give back in the communities where they live and work. We feel very grateful for the Lenovo employees who recognize Lifebridge’s work and chose to support.
