Breaking Bread, Building Hope

Breaking Bread, Building Hope gathers supporters, volunteers, community members, and business leaders to shine a light on how we can build pathways to stability and self-sufficiency. Each year, we focus on a foundational principle of Lifebridge’s work and enjoy an evening connecting with one another.

A Celebration of Community in Action

When a community crisis hits, Lifebridge takes action. From unexpected changes in social welfare policy to extreme weather events, Lifebridge is a flexible non-profit that acts quickly with the support of volunteers, donors, and other concerned citizens.

While government funding covers shelter beds and meals, it does not cover emergency needs. Your support ensures we have the resources and capacity to respond to crises throughout the year. At this year’s event, we’ll celebrate the North Shore community that keeps critical services available to vulnerable people when they matter most.

2025: A Celebration of Community Meals

In this inaugural Breaking Bread event, the program featured a powerful message on the role of nourishment in recovery, recognition of beloved Lifebridge Kitchen Manager Karen Andrew, and a Fund-A-Need in support of our dedicated community meals team. All proceeds supported Lifebridge’s mission to provide nutritious meals and compassionate care to our neighbors in need.
