Dear Santa: Special Items We’re Asking for This Year

12-16-2025

We are so grateful for the many amazing donations we receive throughout the year from community members that care. In fact, many of you have asked us if there’s anything above and beyond to donate during the holiday season. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of these special items that may not be the first thing you think of when donating to Lifebridge centers and shelters. All of these items go a long way in restoring dignity, building skills, and improving the wellbeing of people experiencing homelessness on the North Shore.

Tools & Resources

  • Public transit passes (T passes, bus passes, etc.)
  • Laundry cards
  • Power banks or portable chargers for cell phones
  • Charging blocks
  • Storage totes for holiday supplies

Group Entertainment

  • A Bluetooth speaker for our Day Center in Salem so we can play music
  • A Ruko for the television in our shelter in Salem
  • Board games

Hobby Supplies

  • A sewing machine for learning to sew and mending clothes
  • Fabric and thread for our sewing group
  • Knitting needles and yarn for the knitting group
  • Canvases and paints for painting
  • Craft supplies and craft kits
  • Coloring books and supplies (markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc.)
