We are thrilled to announce that Sallena Williams, a member of the Lifebridge team for the past two years, has assumed the role of Kitchen Manager. “I love and feel honored to be able to serve our community,” says Williams.

Williams started as a direct care worker at our women’s shelter in Beverly before moving to the Salem Campus kitchen in 2025. “I really believe in service work,” Williams explains. “I grew up with food insecurities of my own and love that we have a community to serve that I can be a part of.” Her dedication to this service shows in her years volunteering at other free meal kitchens like My Brother’s Table prior to coming to Lifebridge.

Williams closely connects her cooking with family. “I picked up my passion for cooking from my mom,” she says. That passion led her to culinary school, and she graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Cambridge.

As Kitchen Manager, Williams strategically incorporates the donated ingredients our kitchen receives every day into recipes for create hot, nutritious, filling meals for hundreds of people experiencing food insecurity. Former Kitchen Manager Karen Andrew says she knows Williams is up to the task. “In addition to being a talented cook, Sallena has a heart for our clients,” says Andrew.

Congratulations, Sallena!
